Privacy Policy

Last updated

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Syspac Pty Ltd collects through this website (syspac.com.au), why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Who we are and what this policy covers

Syspac Pty Ltd (ABN 12 657 226 125) is the data controller for personal information collected through syspac.com.au. We are an Australian private-sector entity and we take our obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles seriously.

This policy covers syspac.com.au only. Each of our products — including SpendLeak, Stop the Bill Collector, RTO Comply, and Strata Comply — operates on its own domain and carries its own privacy notice, which governs the personal information collected when you use that product. If you have a question about a specific product, please refer to the privacy notice on that product's site.

What personal information we collect

When you contact us through the form at /contact-us, we collect the name, email address, and the contents of the message you choose to send.

When you load any page on the site, our hosting provider and bot-protection service automatically log technical information including your IP address, user agent, and the page you requested. This information is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and produce aggregate analytics.

We do not collect sensitive information (as defined by the Privacy Act) through this website. Please do not include sensitive personal details in your enquiry message.

Why we collect it

Contact-form information is collected so that we can respond to your enquiry. Technical information is collected to operate and secure the website, prevent automated abuse, and understand aggregate usage so we can improve the site.

We do not use any of this information for profiling, automated decision-making, or advertising.

How we use it

We use your personal information only for the purposes described above. We will not use your information for an unrelated secondary purpose without your consent, except where permitted or required by law.

Who we share it with

We share limited personal information with the third-party service providers who operate parts of this website on our behalf:

• Vercel Inc. (United States) — website hosting, Vercel Analytics, and Speed Insights.

• Resend (United States) — email delivery for messages sent to us through the contact form.

• Cloudflare, Inc. (global) — Cloudflare Turnstile, which performs an automated bot check on the contact form.

• Google LLC (United States) — Google Fonts, which serves typography used across the site.

Each of these providers acts as a processor for the limited purpose described and is bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

Overseas disclosures

Some of the providers listed above are located outside Australia. In particular, Vercel, Resend, and Google are located in the United States, and Cloudflare operates a global network with data centres in multiple countries.

By using this site or submitting an enquiry, you acknowledge that personal information may be disclosed to these providers in those locations for the purposes described. We rely on the contractual and security commitments of these providers, and we do not take additional steps to ensure the recipients do not breach the Australian Privacy Principles beyond selecting reputable providers with established privacy programs.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate usage and performance. These services are designed as first-party analytics and do not use cross-site tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or build behavioural profiles of individual users.

Cloudflare Turnstile, used on the contact form, may set short-lived cookies as part of its bot-detection mechanism.

Google Fonts is requested server-side by our framework, so loading the site does not set Google cookies on your browser through font requests.

We do not use any advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking technologies on this website.

How long we keep it

We currently retain enquiries sent through the contact form in our mailbox indefinitely, so we can refer back to prior conversations. If you would like us to delete a specific enquiry you have sent us, please email us at the address below and we will do so.

Technical logs and aggregate analytics are retained according to the default retention periods of the providers listed above.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, and to make a complaint about how we have handled your personal information. To make any of these requests, email us at hello@syspac.com.au.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your privacy complaint, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at https://www.oaic.gov.au/.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change. The date the policy was last updated is shown at the top of the page. We encourage you to check this page from time to time.
